A mid-morning quickie

I woke up this morning after going to bed at 2am after spending 12 straight hours writing a take-home exam, and thought – “Five finals in seven days. I can’t study anymore.”  But, I have to.  My last exam is tomorrow 1pm, and I still have approximately 45 pages of notes to go through.  There are moments when I feel insanely giddy at the thought that at 4:15pm tomorrow, I will be D.O.N.E.   I will have survived this long difficult semester, and these crazy three years of law school.  I feel so proud of myself.  I don’t know if I’ll be able to contain my excitement tomorrow.  I may have to assert my rights as a 3L and pull my exam off the printer and run screaming through the library, waving around my last final - EVER.

But, for now, I must focus for the next 10 hours and learn the ins and outs of employment discrimination law.  Just keep swimming, just keep swimming….

  1. The title drew me in.

Man, I remember the day I wrote my last final. It was so darn cool. Just that insane relief you feel when it is over. But then you have to go pass a Bar exam and get a real job. Workin’ for The Man.

  2. That was such an awesome feeling. Not to be a complete downer though it only lasted for so long because the damned bar. But it is a huge achievement and definitely a reason to celebrate.

  3. yippee for you begin *almost* done. good luck and hang in there!

  4. You can do it!!! You should treat yourself to something special when you finish – for all the hard work and the lack of sleep you’ve endured. :)
